Wood Burning Stoves

Benefits of Wood Burning Stoves

  • Save On Fuel Costs
DutchWest catalytic stoves use a convection-like system for longer, more even heating. This high efficiency method helps produce more heat from less wood, which in turn, helps reduce fuel costs to heat your home.
  • Clean-Burning Performance
Thanks to the help of the catalyst, smoke particulates are reduced to as little as 1.1 grams per hour. This ensures your family can enjoy a clean-burning stove that delivers all the heating power they need to keep warm.
  • Large, Clear Viewing Area
The large glass door provides an unobstructed view of the beautiful flames. The overfire airwash ensures the glass stays clean so friends and family can enjoy the view for years to come.
  • Stovetop Cooking
The unique, raised griddle provides the perfect spot to warm bread or cook other foods while enjoying the warmth and beauty of your cast iron stove.

Vermont Castings Encore and Defiant Flex Burn

Made in the USA to be one of the greenest stoves in America, the Encore® FlexBurn™ is unlike any other wood stove on the market today. It adapts to your lifestyle, so you can choose to operate in catalytic or non-catalytic mode.

  • Efficient Design
The top load design of these stoves makes them easier to fill to nearly 100% of their capacity — leading to longer burn times and greater heat output. Plus you won’t have to fill them as often. The top load design is also safer, virtually eliminating the escape of hot embers while loading.
  • Easy-To-Clean
Our FlexBurn® design gives you easy-access to the catalyst system for easy cleaning and maintenance. And because our system burns so clean, our catalysts outlast other brands — providing years of reliable, clean and efficient heat.
  • Heat at Your Fingertips
These stoves give you the power of thermostatic control. Prevent over-fire and get longer, more even burn times by controlling the heat being generated. By simply adjusting the thermostatic air, you can use less wood and achieve a more comfortable room temperature.
  • Style for all Seasons
Vermont Castings stoves are designed to last a lifetime. Now they can suit any space too. A new Transition Style door model offers cleaner lines and a wider view to add a contemporary feel to a classic design. The new Twilight single pass enamel color suggests a hint of blue underneath a vintage Black, adding dimension and lift to a universally appealing color.

Wood Burning Furnaces

Energy King 365EK

The ENERGY KING365EK Wood/Coal Furnace can heat up to about 1,500 square feet.

In addition to square footage, some of the factors that may affect your heating needs are your home’s age, design, and geographic location (climate). Other factors to consider are your chimney’s draft strength and whether you plan to burn wood or coal as your primary fuel source.

It is important to choose a solid-fuel heating appliance that is correctly sized for your home. An undersized wood or coal furnace will need to be fired more often, while an oversized wood or coal furnace will be less efficient and could contribute to dangerous creosote buildup.

ENERGY KING 385EK

ENERGY KING 385EK Wood Furnaces with Automatic Draft puchased in 2012 and 2013 will qualify for a federal biomass tax credit (up to $300).
