Emergency HVAC Service

At Peters Heating and Air, we provide after-hours emergency service for situations where there is a risk to your safety, your home, or during extreme weather conditions.

What Qualifies as an HVAC Emergency?

You should call for emergency service if:

  • Your heating system has failed and indoor temperatures are dropping to unsafe levels (generally below 60°F)
  • Your air conditioning has failed during extreme heat (typically 90°F+)
  • There is a risk of frozen pipes
  • Your HVAC system is leaking water and may cause property damage
  • Someone in the home has a medical condition that requires immediate heating or cooling

What Is Not Typically an Emergency?

The following situations can usually wait until regular business hours:

  • Mild discomfort when outdoor temperatures are moderate
  • A system not keeping up perfectly
  • Noisy equipment
  • One room not heating or cooling properly
  • Routine repairs or maintenance issues

After-Hours Service

Emergency service is available outside normal business hours and includes an after-hours service fee.

If your situation does not meet emergency criteria, we will gladly schedule your service for the next available appointment during regular hours.

Our goal is to respond quickly when it truly matters most—while helping all customers receive timely and fair service while making sure we respect our technicians health and family time.

ALL after hours service calls are billed and collected at time of service.
